Course: LIS 6303 Preparing Instructional Media - Spring 2023

Description: I created an online quiz with the topic of American women in literature. The creation of this video was a culmination of the skills learned during the Preparing Instructional Media Course. This interactive quiz is tailored to an audience of young adult to adult participants.

Completion for the course: Uniform Administrative Requirements for Federal Grans: 2 CFR 200 (Subparts A-D) on April 12, 2023 - Key West, FL.

Description: During my time as an MLIS student, I also successfully completed the course for the Uniform Administrative Requirements for Federal Grans: 2 CFR 200 (Subparts A-D). This course provided me with an understanding of the federal grant program requirements from the government’s request for submissions through to handling and reporting of the acquired items. My certificate of completion is available to view using the link above.

Grant Management: I managed the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant of $975,469 awarded to Monroe County Public Library System.

Description: Although the grant was awarded in the fall of 2021, during the 2022-2023 academic year, my role as Library Business Manager involved monitoring the expenses of this nearly $1 million dollar grant. The Monroe County Public Library system’s record-breaking American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant for $975,469. This is the greatest amount awarded to a Florida library and the highest ever bestowed to Monroe's libraries. The 100 percent federally-funded grant includes a suite of technology and equipment solutions for library patrons to confidently access services while expanding access to digital, print, and online information services.
